The Jeep Brand Closes out 2013 with Great Success
Posted on January 8, 2014
As the Jeep brand celebrated the arrival of 2014,
it was also rejoicing the fact that a global sales record had been broken at
the conclusion of 2013. There is really no better way to ring in the New Year
than with an accomplishment like this one. Let's take a closer look at the
details.
With 731,565 new
Jeep vehicles sold last year, the record set in 2012 was beat
by about 30,000 units. This is quite an impressive increase to have
accomplished. That's not all that the brand was celebrating either, as 2013
become the fourth year in a row that three Jeep models in particular broke
annual sales records.
Some of these best sellers included the Jeep
Wrangler with 210,715 units sold. Next up is the
Jeep
Compass selling 121,626 vehicles. This was followed closely
by the Jeep
Patriot with a total of 103,577 units sold throughout
2013.
In response to this achievement, Mike Manley,
President and CEO of Jeep explains, "Customers clearly appreciate the
new Jeep vehicle lineup that delivers vastly improved on-road driving dynamics
and fuel efficiency, in addition to legendary, benchmark 4x4
capability."1
