More Sweet News for Jeep Lovers

Nothing makes a Jeep lover happier than news about old favourites returning to the fold. New innovations will meet with long-established product value and the adventurous spirit of the traditional Jeep owner. According to Jeep/RAM Trucks CEO Mike Manley, there’s a whole lot to look forward to in the coming year. While official release dates aren’t firm for the new Grand Wagoneer, Wrangler (JL) or Jeep pick-up truck, Manley did confirm that the New York Auto Show will offer a first loving look at the much-anticipated Trackhawk.

With the pounding heart of a Hellcat, the Trackhawk will debut in New York alongside the Dodge Challenger Demon. That’s a whole lotta roar in the Big Apple come April. Rumour has it that the high-powered Trackhawk will hit the US market come fall, with a roll-out in Asian, Middle Eastern and other global markets thereafter. Manley is clearly stoked about taking the Jeep brand to even broader international markets after the wider global reach of the Compass proved to be very successful.

In keeping with Grand Cherokee consumer expectations, on-road and off-road capability are equally important in the Trackhawk driver experience. But, says Manley, it’ll be its own animal, not merely a souped-up Grand Cherokee. And for those worried that the rise in autonomous driving technologies will rob the off-road enthusiast of the pure pleasure of driving, we can assure you that choice remains a number one priority for the manufacturer. Hot new tech will always be added to new Jeep models, but always with the option to activate or deactivate autonomous functions as desired. You’re still very much in the driver’s seat with the exciting roster of upcoming product from Jeep.

If you’ve never tasted the old-school-meets-hot-tech excitement of a Jeep vehicle, come see us at Team Chrysler in Toronto.
