American 2019 Ram 1500 drivers are understandably darkly envious over the Canadian-Market only Sport. This trim boasts a sleek, monochromatic exterior, available in nine colors and offers a swack of other goodies, leaving Americans to try—yet mostly fail—to build the Sport version out of a Laramie trim.
Accentuating all those splashy colors is a black billet bar grille with Ram lettering. The new standard bi-LED headlight frames, hood badge and side window surrounds are black, offsetting the exterior color in style. If you’re looking for a bolder hood, Ram offers an optional eye-catching version that must be seen to be appreciated. From the front on to the back end, the Ram 1500 Sport showcases a Canadian-Market only Sport badge on an all-new dampened aluminum tailgate with integrated spoiler. An integrated dual exhaust is the signature to a uniquely Canadian exterior.
Inside the cab, the Sport boasts exclusive sport cloth/premium vinyl seats with a unique ‘hex’ insert mesh fabric. Also reserved only for Canada are optional leather heated and ventilated seats with a Canadian-Market only technical embossed texture.
The new generation of TorqueFlite has landed with the standard eight-speed automatic transmission, offering over 40 individual shift maps that optimize fuel efficiency and performance. Without driver intervention this operating range monitors the distribution of torque, based on driving conditions.
