2017 Chrysler Pacifica Stands Tall with IIHS Top Safety Pick+

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica has been awarded the Top Safety Pick+ by the highly esteemed Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, making it the only minivan to be crowned with this recognition.

This endorsement comes after winning awards for its interior, delighting Canadians with its people-hauling capacity, and starring in the Bad Moms movie alongside Mila Kunis.

Seventy-two percent of the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is made of high-strength steel, making its body structure one of the toughest in withstanding potential vehicle crashes. It was this strength and high safety approach that came through when the Pacifica was tested. Indeed, it has over 700 different safety and security features that customers can optionally choose from to feel ultimate safety.

The “Superior” rating that the 2017 Pacifica achieved was in mitigation technologies and frontal crash avoidance. And it was the Pacifica’s various radar sensors, automatic emergency braking system and many cameras that demonstrated its superlative safety features. The 2016 Honda Odyssey and Kia Sedona were also entrants in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s rating competition, and both won the Top Safety Picks rating, while only the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica was named with the Top Safety Pick+ award. This is definitely a feather in the Chrysler Pacifica’s cap!
